Jochem Jacobs won the Dutch Duiveltjes award!

We're proud to announce that our endorser from the band Textures, Jochem Jakobs, has been awarded as "Duiveltje" Best Dutch Guitarist of 2011!

Duiveltje is an annual award given to the best rock musicians of the Netherlands, elected by their fellow musicians. This year the Devils extended the categories Best Stage, Best Festival, Best Manager, Best Programmer and Best Booker. The prize is named after the legend about blues guitarist Robert Johnson who sold his soul to the devil at the Crossroads and became “The Best guitarist of the World”. The winners received a bronze statue of a Devil, created by designer Peter te Bos. 

Jochem had the following to say: “WOW! I’m really amazed by all this, I don’t really see this as a personal award only, it’s also for the band!!! Rock!!!!” Congratulations!

The new long awaited studio album from Textures is being recorded as we speak, but the band has already announced its first European release show. On the 22nd October they will perform at the EuroBlast festival which will take place at the Underground in Köln Germany.
