Birthday is a wonderful day, isn't it? On this joyful day many of your dreams may become true, even those you are not really aware of... Let me tell you a story of Steven and Lasse, two good friends from different countries, and a special birthday gifts tradition.
Steven Wilson is a leader of a legendary progressive formation Porcupine Tree from England, who above all else shares the passion for music and cakes. Jaffa Cakes to be specific. His friend, Lasse Hoile, lives in Denmark and is a brilliant photographer and director of video clips for Porcupine Tree, Opeth or Katatonia to name only a few.
Each year, being aware of Steven's Jaffa Cakes addiction, Lasse prepares a birthday present related to his beloved titbits. This year Lasse paid Steve a visit the day after their sold-out concert in Royal Albert Hall in London. He brought with him unusually big package, surprisingly similar to... a guitar case! Steve eagerly unpacked the black hard shell with a big letter “M” on top and just couldn't believe his eyes when the cover was opened...
It was a beautiful Setius guitar, secretly being prepared by Lasse and Mayones for several months. The shaded blue top was adorned with the painted logo that Steven knew so well... The Jaffa Cakes emblem! The Padouk dots in the Ebony fretboard looked almost like oranges in dark chocolate... Happy Birthday Steve!!! We hope this tasty instrument will be a perfect topping for your guitar collection.
