Étienne Mbappé is a famous Cameroon musician, composer, guitar and bass player based in France, best known for his years with Zawinul Syndicate, live performances with John McLaughlin or recording with the legendary Ray Charles

His solo album Misiya as well as the music of his
formation SU LA TAKE
features a mix of fusion, funk, jazz, Cameroonian roots and also influences from classical music, and afropop.
Étienne visited our stand at Musikmesse Frankfurt 2011 after a few words from our other endorser, Maurizio Rolli. It didn't take long when he grabbed our Comodous 5 Classic S, the first instrument from our Custom Bass series build with Samba body.
"Those basses are real monsters of sound and beauty." - claims ATN, as his friends are used to call him, and after those few days of Musikmesse he decided to join May-players family. And as far as we know he likes them so much he prepares to get another Mayones bass soon...
