It's been a year since Riverside, the famous Polish progressive formation, completed their Reality Dream Trilogy. Before the musicians concentrate on the new material, Mariusz Duda, the bass player and the vocalist of the band, releases his very first solo album. Lunatic Soul is the trip into the inner world of his reflection about life and death...
Mariusz himself: "The Lunatic Soul is a studio project realized in the cooperation with my friends and colleagues from the music branch who agreed to take part in it, to my great surprise and utmost joy."
"I touched upon a vital subject on this record, namely... death. What came out of this was a conceptual journey to the world beyond full of reflections on transience and all we may want to leave after we pass (if we want to leave anything)."
"In the sphere of music I would call those sounds oriental-alternative, not really having anything in common with progressive rock. An interesting fact is that there is no electric guitar at all. I think, it will be a journey through the pitch darkness available only to those who have... a lunatic soul. "
