Legend reviewed! The new presentation by Ben Randall!
UK guitarist Ben Randall has been associated with Mayones Guitars for several years now, and has demonstrated several models. These videos have steadily increased in views via YouTube so that in total they have now been seen by over 188,000 people. Ben’s latest composition has been inspired directly by his demo of the Legend model.
The Mayones Legend is a great guitar! I've been really impressed with the quality and variety of tones the guitar can produce from its Seymour Duncan pickups - ranging from sparkling cleans, to driving distortion and expressive lead sounds. I composed the song 'Stories Untold (The Legend Unfolds)' to show off the full tonal spectrum of the Legend, I found that the guitar actually helped to inspire musical ideas, and shaped the 'mood' of the track - this is definitely a hallmark of a quality instrument.
The guitar also looks fantastic, with a rich flame maple top, and a transparent black finish at the back allowing the stunning alder body wood to show through. The Hipshot Tremolo allows you to get even more expression from the guitar, and the Schaller tuners ensure great tuning stability. Having tried most of the instruments Mayones produce, I have found that the Legend provides something different, through its focus towards more 'classic' rock, 'vintage' tones, which - when combined with the expert Mayones craftsmanship - make the guitar uniquely expressive, dynamic and versatile.
