INACTIVE MESSIAH (GR)

Inactive Messiah is the first Greek metal formation in May-players family. The roots of their sound goes deep into the ancient era of the Greek heroes and brings us aggressive melodies with dark atmosphere of modern times. Recently the band finished the unique “XXV Anniversary Tour” with Vader where Thanos could show you the abilities of his new Regius 6 Gothic war axe.

The band was formed back in 2001 under the name "Womb Of Maggots". A demo and the album "Life Odium" was released under that name but after that the band changed its name to "Inactive Messiah" and the self titled album was released December 2004 by Black Lotus Records.

A year later after some various line up changes Inactive Messiah entered the studio again for their third studio album. The new material sound more melodic, aggressive and dark while the Hellenic national ERT choir and 80 musicians of the Symphonic Orchestra of Slovakia participate. For this album Inactive Messiah invited some guest musicians to record some parts. JP Leppaluoto (Charon/ex-Poisonblack) sings in the song "Be My Drug" which is also the name of the album, Emppu Vuorinen (Nightwish) has recorded the guitar solo part of the cover song "Beat It" from Michael Jackson and Arto Tuunela (Major Label) do some Finnish vocals on song "Before The End".

Inactive Messiah are glad that signed a deal with Holy Records, the release of their new album entitled "bE mY dRug" scheduled for December 2006. After the deal Katerina decided to leave the band for personal reasons. The band after a two Central and West European tours (32 shows in “Blitzkrieg 4” and “The Domination Tour 2007”), a Balkan Tour (13 shows in “Balkans Assassination Tour 2007”) and some fests and extra performances in Greece and Romania entered studio again for their 3rd studio album.

The recordings took place at Devasoundz studios January/February 2008 and the album released once again by Holy Records on April of the same year under the name "Sinful Nation". More aggressive this time yet dark, atmospheric and majestic again. Right after the release the band hitted the road again on "XXV Anniversary Tour" with Vader, Septic Flesh and Devian for 42 shows in most of the European countries. After the tour guitar player Sotiris and drummer Michalis left the band. The band will remain with only Thanos on the guitars will continue with some more shows the next months with a session drummer for the promotion of "Sinful Nation".

Just before hitting the road for the latest tour band's guitarist, Thanos, received his customized Regius 6 Gothic and officially entered May-players family. His axe was delivered with astonishing Ash top in Gothic finish, musician's signature carved in the truss rod cover, Ebony fretboard adorned with band's logo at the 1st fret pole and 'SINNER' inscription at 12th. For extreme sound we powered the instrument with two high output DiMarzio D Activator pickups.
