Greg Mackintosh
Paradise Lost is the obvious Icon of the world's gothic-rock music - does anyone dare to deny? During 17 years of successful career the band released 10 studio LPs, sold more than 2 million records and played hundreds of gigs all over the Globe. Today we are proud to announce that band's guitarist, Greg Mackintosh, is endorsing our company playing 3 customized left-handed guitars. "They are without a doubt the most comfortable guitars I have ever played." - says Greg describing his impressions.
It was 1991 when a young band called Paradise Lost released their full-length album 'Gothic', which quickly became determinant of the new quality in metal music. For almost two decades bands and genres raised and fell but the founders of the Gothic metal style are still here - loved by myriads fans and respected by music press. The band recorded several distinguishing albums and played numerous concerts at scenes of most important festivals of the whole World, influencing countless minds and hearts of different styles and generations...
Currently the band is mixing the material for their new 11th studio album 'In Requiem' to be released in May 2007. We are happy to inform that Greg Mackintosh, band's lead guitarist, recorded his sections using three Mayones guitars: two Regius 6 LH and one Setius GTM 7 LH: "I have just returned from Canada, where I was recording our new album. I received my Mayones guitars (2 custom made left-handed Regius and 1 custom made left-handed Setius 7-string) just before I entered the studio. All guitars were made to my specifications and the 2 left-handed Regius were the first of their kind. Whilst recording with these guitars, I was overwhelmed by their playability. They are without a doubt the most comfortable guitars I have ever played. The tone of all 3 guitars is amazing."
Greg chose both his Regius 6 LH with ash top in Gothic black matt finish and one active EMG 81 pickup. Setius GTM 7 LH was delivered with two active EMG 707 pickups, Flamed Maple top in transparent black gloss finish and ebony fingerboard. All the three instruments feature also QParts Jumbo Skull knobs and Skull inlays at the first fretpole.

After few weeks spent in the studio Greg admits: "The Regius sing. They really compliment my playing and the sustain is awesome. The Setius-7 can achieve sparkling, full bodied clean sounds in the neck position and crushingly, heavy rhythm sounds in the bridge position. In the studio, myself, producers and engineers alike were stunned by the quality of craftsmanship and blown away by the sounds that these guitars are capable of." and adds: "Being left-handed has always caused problems when trying to find great guitars. But with the left-handed Setius and the new left-handed Regius guitars I am endorsing, this will no longer be a problem."
"Check out our new album, due out in May 2007 on Century Media records and hear the chilling leads, brutal rhythms and mournful tones created using my Mayones guitars. Now I just can't wait to take these babies on the road."
The new album will appear soon but before that we would like to invite you on two Paradise Lost gigs, which will take place 24.03.2007 in Katowice (Poland) and 12.04.2007 in London (UK). IMPORTANT NOT FOR THE FANS!!! The concert in London will be recorded for the DVD release - be there and be the part of Paradise Lost history!!!
