Tommy Ermolli
Tommaso “Tommy” Ermolli is the guitar player of Twinspirits (progressive rock band featuring renowned composer Daniele Liverani) as well as other side-projects such as Khymera (melodic rock band featuring Dennis Ward, bass player for Pink Cream 69 and sound-engineer for Angra, Allen/Lande project, House of Lords and many others), and Cosmics (instrumental virtuostic group featuring acclaimed drummer Virgil Donati and bass player Rufus Philpot). In addition, Tommy is an instructional columnist on Italian guitar magazine AXE. In 2009 Tommy obtained the certification for the “Music In Film” course, at the London Film Academy studying with Simon Whiteside (composer for BBC television programmes and orchestrator for Harry Gregson-Williams and Nicholas Hooper among others).
Tommy is a proud user of our Setius GTM 6 model. The guitar for Tommy was delivered with new DiMarizio pickups: LiquiFire (neck) and CrunchLab (bridge), Transparent Dirty Red Burst finish and Rosewood fingerboard adorned with musician's name on 12th fret.
The very first thing that caught my attention about Mayones guitars, was their look. Even before thinking about how they could sound, their sight caught my eye! I love their design and the headstock is simply unique. I consider it as a very distinctive symbol, like the hat of a uniform, if you will.
As for the sound, it's incomparable. I believe May to be one of the best axe around. Do you want to talk about versatility? My Setius model allows me to do anything. I can go from crystal clear clean sounds to blasting lead sounds, going through punchy crunch tones! How? Excellent choice of woods and construction.
