The Scorpions is an ultimate rock-legend. Established in 1965 in Hannower (Germany) by Klaus Meine & Rudolf Schenker - the band has achieved discography of 20-something longplays, an impressive list of world classic hits: Wind Of Change, Rock You Like A Hurricane, Blackout, Big City Nights, Still Loving You, Holiday, Send Me An Angel, Dynamite, Coast To Coast, The Zoo, Coming Home, Hit between The Eyes, Tease Me Please Me, and many more. Throughout the years, The Scorpions have played an immense number of live-shows (often more than 100 yearly) for hundreds thousands of devoted fans, touring all inhabited continents from Los Angeles & New York to Anchorage & Santiago de Chile, from Glasgow to Beirut, Helsinki to Vladivostok or from Bangalore to Tokyo. We are particularily honoured, that Pawel officially uses a Mayones bass (Prestige-5 model) among his gear.

The Scorpions is now a truly international band, with 2 fulltime players originating from outside of Germany: an American drummer James Kottak, and Pawel Maciwoda, born in Wieliczka (Poland). Pawel has been playing bass since he was 15, and he's got his own extensive musician's career before joining The Scorpions in 2004. He performed & recorded together with internationally known artists and bands, like jazz fusion Little Egoists, Adam Holzman (shared projekt Section 31 & Time Traveler album), Poland's known alternative rock groups Odzial Zamkniety and Püdelsi, metal TSA, jazz-style Walk Away (in cooperation with famous Michael Urbaniak & Urszula Dudziak), chicago blues The Homewreckers, also cooperating with projects like Funk dE Nite, Redkot, LAPd & Virgin Snatch, just to name a few.

Pawel's model of choice is Mayones Prestige-5 F Custom Bass with neck-thru-body construction, 9-piece neck, American Ash profiled body & exclusive Ebony Macassar top (natural matt finish). The bass is equipped with Bartolini pickups & active electronic, black Schaller hardware. Ebony fretless fingerboard features marked fretlines for better comfort and orientation.
