Mario Mazzenga is a sideman working with many Italian known artists and bands like: Anna Tatangelo, William Stravato, Daniele Chiantese, Piccola Orchestra La Viola, Davide Pannozzo, and others. Mario chose for himself 2 Mayones Custom basses - fretted Elegance-5 model featuring a beautiful Burl-eye Maple top & fretless Victorious-5.

Mario's Elegance bass is a fretted 5-string, equipped with the Burl-eye Maple top (nat color, gloss finish), ebony fingerboard, Ferd Wagner frets, ABM bridge with piezo, Bartolini soapbars & Aguilar preamp.

"I usually work in many different musical situations and my dream was to find an instrument that could be so versatile to be able to use in the most part of the cases, and finally I have found all this: the Mayones bass. It's very comfortable for every style of playing, and its tonal characteristics comes out clearly whether I'm playing pop, rock, blues, jazz or fusion, giving me a true pleasure that I have never found before, as now I can perfectly express my musical ideas without any limitation. I have looked for a bass sound that could be at the same time deep and well defined - for a long time, and now I have it!", declares Mario.

His fretless Victorious comes with Ebony Macassar tope, also in natural wood color, but this time finished in matt. Schaller black hardware,Bartolini soapbars & Aguilar active electronic.

"The beauty of its design, with its splendid ebony top made me loving it at first sight!" elaborates Mario. "And when I put my hands on it, I also realized that it’s not just about the looks. The bass has got great sustain and warm basic sound, wich can be easily “coloured” on the fly as I like, covering all the tonal possibilities that I need - both in studio and onstage. The neck feels very nice and it is comfortable and easy to play along its entire extension. Finally - I do think that just like my Elegance, Victorious will also have a great weight in my musical inspirations - cause it can easily let my soul flow out of my fingers!" says Mario.
