DREAMTONE, NEVERLAND (TUR)

Having played with names like Blind Guardian or Megadeth, Dreamtone is now seen as of the most recognisable power progressive metal band from Turkey. The band is also involved in NEVERLAND - a musical project featuring famous Greek singer, Iris Mavraki and the grandiose skills of the Philarmonia Istanbul Orchestra!

Active since 2001, Dreamtone is one of the leading figures in Turkish metal scene. The band’s sound reflects various influences ranging from Blind Guardian to John Williams, creating a solid metal sound with pure orchestral moments. Up to date, the band has released one single (Pandemonium), one sold-out demo/album (Unforeseen Reflections), one full length album (Sojourn) and a single titled 'Snowfall' as a harbinger of their next album. The band has played with names like Megadeth, Dream Theater, Blind Guardian, Andromeda and many more.

Dreamtone is also cooperating with Greek singer Iris Mavraki and Philarmonia Istanbul Orchestra to create NEVERLAND. Their debut album, titled “Reversing Time”, features great guests from the world of metal such as singers Hansi Kursch (BLIND GUARDIAN), Tom Englund (EVERGREY) and Mike Baker (SHADOW GALLERY), as well as guitarist Gary Wehrkamp (SHADOW GALLERY).

Dreamtone's guitarist, Onur, is cooperating with our company for more than a year now. Not too long ago the bass player of the band, Can, has also joined the May-players family ordering our Elegance 6 bass with several custom options. Can chose for his guitar powerful Wenge/Padouk neck, beautiful Eye Poplar top and warm Rosewood fretboard encrusted with propeller wings position markers.

"Dreamtone inked the endorsement deal before I joined the band, but immediately after I saw Onur’s great Setius, I definitely wanted to go for one of May-babies." - explains Can - "After long discussions over the Internet, we decided on what would fit the sound of the band and my personal tastes. When I received "The Elegance", I was truly amazed with the great look of the wood and mind-blowing craftsmanship. It was incredible to see one perfect look bass with my custom fret markers on it."

But it's not only the looks that matters: "After I plugged the bass in, the sound just blew my head away. Bartolini pickups and Aguilar preamp work together so well, that one can get the heaviest growling lows as well as bright and crunchy highs. The saying "wood makes the sound" was proven once more for me. In addition to top quality electronics, Ash body and Wenge-Padouk neck produce the perfect solid tone that one can disregard every single external electronics, EQ’s and effects. Unlike many other basses, the thickness of the fingerboard was optimized for the best ergonomics in a way that the instrument actually “provokes” its owner to play it."
