DESIRE OF PAIN (CHL)

Desire of Pain emerged in 2006 when Sebastian left his Black Metal formation seeking more harmonious yet still brutal sound. After completing the line-up with Mauricio, Mario and Alvaro the band quickly recorded their first demo and started live performances in their area.

 

In 2009 Desire Of Pain prepared 3-song EP called "Ashes Of The Darkness" at the "15 Sound" studio, which allowed for taking the next step and - an outstanding Chile opening for the Dutch band "Sinister".

 

Currently the band is promoting their first album of 8 songs called "Fragments Of A Crystallized Absence", which was recorded in "ALBA ROAD STUDIOS, with the participation of guest musicians" ANDRES PINEAPPLE (TARGET) "JUAN ESCOBAR (MAR DE GRISES) and "ALICIA PLAZA" (BURNING TEARS) and come under the hand of Chilean label "AUSTRALIS RECORDS".

In Summer 2011 the band has inked a deal with Mayones for a full-band endorsement. "We would like to thank Mayones for give us the opportunity to be a part of their Artist family." - the band member say - "Our new instruments will be used on both the tour and the next album to create the sound we have always dreamed of, so be prepared... The world is our next step!"

Mauricio Poblete, the guitar player for Desire Of Pain, uses a Setius GTM 7 with Seymour Duncan Jazz 7 and Jaff Beck 7 pickups and Transparent Dirty Green Burst Gloss finish.

I met Mayones when I saw some of my favorites bands using them. I was surprised for the good look and the versatile sound that those instruments seems to have. Every style, soft or heavy, sounded perfect and with personality.

When the instrument arrived to my house and I opened the case.... the guitar is way better than the photographs, the gloss is just impressive and even the smallest detail that you can think was taken care of.

I choose Mayones Setius GTM 7 in a transparent dirty green gloss finish with Seymour Duncan pickups because I like how they catch the wood personality in the guitars and give you real touch and dynamic control in your playing.

The neck of the guitar is the most comfortable that I've ever played, the transition from my previous six strings guitar was easier than I thought…

When I plugged the guitar to the amp a beautiful clean sound with body and presence fill the air. The 3-way switch and the split coil allows you to get a lot of different sound possibilities and using distortion the guitar shows the definition and body that I was always looking for: punchy sound, powerful, present yet controllable...

All is way easier in this guitar, feels like my skills are improved and the sound is that I've been always searching for... So versatile that cover all that I need in my projects from my metal band “Desire Of Pain” to my rock-pop band “Breik”...

It´s a universe of sound locked in seven strings. This is the guitar that was always looking for... How it feels, how it looks and how it sounds... I just can say thanks to Mayones for this incredible guitar and for giving me the opportunity to be part of this great family of selected artists from all over the World.
