Desire of Pain emerged in 2006 when Sebastian left his Black Metal formation seeking more harmonious yet still brutal sound. After completing the line-up with Mauricio, Mario and Alvaro the band quickly recorded their first demo and started live performances in their area.

In 2009 Desire Of Pain prepared 3-song EP called "Ashes Of The Darkness" at the "15 Sound" studio, which allowed for taking the next step and - an outstanding Chile opening for the Dutch band "Sinister".

Currently the band is promoting their first album of 8 songs called "Fragments Of A Crystallized Absence", which was recorded in "ALBA ROAD STUDIOS, with the participation of guest musicians" ANDRES PINEAPPLE (TARGET) "JUAN ESCOBAR (MAR DE GRISES) and "ALICIA PLAZA" (BURNING TEARS) and come under the hand of Chilean label "AUSTRALIS RECORDS".

In Summer 2011 the band has inked a deal with Mayones for a full-band endorsement. "We would like to thank Mayones for give us the opportunity to be a part of their Artist family." - the band member say - "Our new instruments will be used on both the tour and the next album to create the sound we have always dreamed of, so be prepared... The world is our next step!"

Mario, the bass player for Desire Of Pain, uses a Comodous 5 Classic upgraded with a Hipshot D Tuners and a Jabba 5 Classic with Delano pickups.

It is gratifying to have the backing of a brand that has such high quality instruments. Both Comodous and Jabba are simply excellent basses.

The Comodous has great sustain, attack and presence, it is the ideal bass for all kind of music. Now with this bass I can achieve everything that I need with the band both live performances and studio works.

The Jabba 5 has a very nice and warm sound, it never lost definition or presence, a very versatile instrument which allow me to obtain different sounds throughout the shows.
