Divided Multitude is a progressive metal band from Trondheim, Norway. The band started up in 1995, producing material for their first demo. Their first demo, “Stranded” was released in 1996, and caught interest from several labels and magazines. One of the track from the demo, ended up on a sampler released by Frontiers Magazine. This, and their second demo “Tale Of Tomorrow”, led to the band signing with Sensory records.
The band’s debut, “Inner Self”, was released in 1999, and in the following summer the band toured Norway and Denmark together with the Swedish band Hollow. the second album “Falling To Pieces”, was released in 2002, on the Italian label Elevate Records. Divided Multitude played several festivals around Norway and Europe after this release, ProgPower Europe a.o.
Due to economic difficulties, the band decided to take a break in 2004, which gave the members time to focus on other bands and project. The members were active in bands like Wattamezz, Tal Rusha and Triosphere, before they decided to get back together in 2007.
And here they are with a brand new album “Guardian Angel”, recorded in Skansen Lydstudio, and @home Studios. The album WAS mixed by Jacob Hansen and the cover-art is done by Mattias Norèn. The band is currently looking for a licensing deal for the album.
Few months ago Christer Harøy has inked an endorsement deal with Mayones and proudly uses his Regius PRO 6 Gothic. The guitar is equipped with DiMarizio pickups and Schaller Floyd Rose PRO bridge, distinguishing Ash top in Gothic finish and intriguing band's logo in the Ebony fingerboard.
"Over the years I have played loads of different guitars, but none have even been close to the Mayones Regius. This guitar is first class in every aspect of what a guitar can be.
First of all it’s a piece of art. The appearance of the guitar is just fantastic. The neck-through gives the guitar a great sustain, and a powerfull tone. You can keep a tone for ages with this sustain. Combined with the DiMarzio pick-ups (Air Norton & D Sonic) it gives me the heavy and direct crunch I’ve always wanted.
The neck is built for speed. It have got the perfect thickness to it. Just perfect. All in all, the supreme guitar is named Mayones!!!!!"
