Sanna Alessandro (IT)

Alessandro Sanna approaches music at the age of ten, thanks to his family's influence. After studying classical guitar for two years he discovers the wonderful sound of the electric bass, that he soon realizes he will never part from. For some years he takes electric bass private lessons for basic technique, which will lead him to start Double Bass classical training.

He attends a Double Bass course at Santa Cecilia Conservatory, where he passes Solfeggio and Music Theory, Choir Chant, Complementary Harmony and Complementary Piano exams. Later on he attends courses on bass technique for Jazz and Funk styles, gaining various certificates. In order to improve his sound and to study Jazz Harmony he relies on the guide of such great bass players as Massimo Moriconi, Dario Deidda, Marco Siniscalco and Alain Caron.

During his studying activity he gets to know a lot of well established musicians in the italian music scene and he gets to share numerous musical experiences with them. He can boast a great number of short and long period collaborations in recording studios and live situations. He has collaborated and/or collaborates occasionally with such artists as: Mario Biondi, Roberto Angelini, Mimmo Cavallo, Jerry Marotta, Rachel Z and Tony Levin, Robbie Dupree, Sandro Giacobbe, Donatella Rettore, Marcello Cirillo, Viola Valentino, Gianni Togni, Milk & Coffee, Alex Britti, Velvet, Francesca Alotta, Paolo Mengoli, "Amici" (Maria De Filippi – a Mediaset production).

Along the years he has played and/or is still playing with such musicians as: Fio Zanotti, Marco Rinalduzzi, Sandro Comini, Massimo Calabrese, Mario Schilirò, Rodolfo Maltese, Tom Griesgraber, Luigi Schiavone, Stefano Scarfone, Alex Valle, Alfredo Bochicchio, Pati Palma, Wendy, Frankie Lo Vecchio, Marco D'Angelo, Stefania Caracciolo, Elsa Baldini, Paolo Iurich, Claudio Passavanti, Maurizio Metalli, Davide Pistoni, Andrea Rongioletti, Nerio Poggi, Massimo Guerra, Carlo Micheli, Ambrogio Frigerio, Sergio Vitale, Giancarlo Ciminelli, Carlo Conti, Derek Wilson, Marcello Surace, Roberto Polito, Giampaolo Petrini, Stefano Marazzi, Roberto Pistolesi, Andrea Ruta and many others.

He collaborates with Musica MMB STUDIOS and LA MUSICA CHE GIRA INTORNO music schools.
