4BACKWOODS (D)

Köln is one of the most important German cities, where ancient and medieval roots combined with 21st century elements create a balanced and harmonized unity. And so is the music of 4Backwoods – a perfect blend of classic rock melodies and rough modern tunes served through energetic live shows. For band's frontman, Daniel, we delivered two Regius guitars, created according to his detailed demands.

 

 

 

 

It is really only the name that makes you think of four hillbillies. Because the 4BACKWOODS have found their way to venues all across Germany and the British isles for quite some time. Thanks to distinctive guitars, harmonic choirs, an unfailable sense for killer melodies and clever use of the voice box their music is unmistakably recognisable. The guys combine a fat sound with light-heartedness and a tight riffing in a really special way. The result is the hit-packed long play debut "The Dream I Live in", the catchiness of which you can hardly escape.

The band´s songs have been featured on several different compilations, of which about 25.000 units in total have been spread through the nation. These compilations include "Hitpack", "Boardernoise Vol.2" with Son Goku, Pro Pain and Tocotronic as well as "Sounds For Nature" with Fury In The Slaughterhouse, Such a Surge, Fettes Brot and Seeed.

So far the 4BACKWOODS have been on tour as support act for Motör Head, System Of A Down, HIM, The Cardigans, Therapy?, Reamon, Farin Urlaub, Beatsteaks, Die Happy and many more. During their tours the guys have also rocked events such as Rock am Ring, Area 4 (Teremoto/Bizarre), Rheinkultur, Kölner Ringfest, Taubertal-Festival, Open-Flair-Festival, The Red Bull Tourbus and the European Bike Week.

Besides several articles in daily newspapers and internet forums the 4BACKWOODS have been featured by music magazines like Rock Hard, Gitarre & Bass and Soundcheck. After really good airplays und interview features on radio stations all over Germany the 4BACKWOODS were put on the rotation of well-known German radio stations like Antenne Bayern or WDR Einslive, which declared „The Dream I Live in“ as the cult-album of the week. And they have already been presented by the TV station “NBC” in December 2000 and “N24” in June 2007.

Several 4BACKWOODS-Songs are used for Surf-Videos or for the freeclimbing advertisment "Superplus Energy". In 2007 the 4BACKWOODS-Song “Crawlers” became the title song of the Cinema Movie “Bloodbound”. The Videoclip of this song can be seen on several German TV Stations like Streetclip TV, Petn TV, E.Clips and I-Music 1. The 4BACKWOODS are supported by partners like Red Bull, Harley-Davidson, Beck´s Beer, Volkswagen, Erdinger or VANS.

Recently, our company joined to the above list of supporting institutions delivering two Regius guitars, customized to the exact needs of Daniel Wagner, band's frontman. Both guitars were created with Flamed Maple top and Ebony fretboard. One of them was delivered with blue LED dots and equipped with Seymour Duncan SH-2 + SH-4 set and GraphTech piezo system. The other Regius, planned more as basic live axe, was delivered with all black body and bindingless neck and Seymour Duncan SH-2 and DiMarzio D Sonic pickups.

Daniel has also made a guest appearance at Stefan Raab´s "Schlag den Raab", one of the most famous German TV shows, accompanying famous US singer, Leona Lewis, with snow white Mayones Jabba bass.
